I recently got a Canon Pro 1 which I'm very happy with except for the
lens cap which does not have a retaining cord so I just know I am
going to lose it almost lost it the first day!!
Is there anything such as adhesive cord that I can attach to the cap
and to my camera body.
If so any online sites that deliver to the UK

Thanks

Pro photographers don't use lens caps.

I considered this a pretty good joke until I thought about it. Today I
did a few hundred exposures in an outdoor, dusty locale, and kept the
lens caps in my pocket until I got back in the truck. I kept the lenses
pointed down unless on-subject. Checking just now, the lenses will
require a shot or two of air before the next use, but nothing more. Big
ol' lens shades contribute to their protection from inadvertant bumps
and fingerings.

Not to say I am a "Pro photographer", just remembering that the advanced
P&Ss I used recently provided a cap lanyard, and that twenty years ago I
twisted a small screw into a lens cap because none of the sticky kind
would stay stuck.

You can buy attachment cords for your lens cap at any good photo store or
you can make your own with a piece of thin nylon cord and some epoxy glue.

Just a warning, my camera was broken because the lens cap cord got
snagged. I am now looking for one with a release so the cord breaks
first. Or I will just use some light cotton cord.

All in all, if I could be any animal, I would want to be
a duck or a goose. They can fly, walk, and swim. Plus,
there there is a certain satisfaction knowing that at the
end of your life you will taste good with an orange sauce
or, in the case of a goose, a chestnut stuffing.
