Most ram is backwards compatable. The Intel board will only run at 1333 max even with 1600 or higher ram. Whatever you get, be sure it's 1.35 or 1.5v.

Silly me, forgot about the backwards compatibility thing

Anyways @ the OP, I would lean towards the MSI board which is the B75-G41. I myself have never owned MSI or Gigabyte motherboards but based on the threads I have read, Gigabyte is a bit problematic.

Edit: No harm done getting either board, but should wait for other opinions before buying it. I myself am only assuming since I have read more threads with problems involving Gigabyte more than MSI. That may be due to Gigabyte being more popular or something else.

I personally would go with the gigabyte board, as I have had problems with MSI boards in the past, but that is just personal preference. Either option is good.

So theres no diffrence between those 2?

Well at the core both boards are similar since they are both based on the B75 chipset. However the one difference I can see off the bat is the MSI board has more compatibility with higher frequency ram.

But would OC Genie II work on my G860?
