Reset display resolution

Hello,
Switched my computer on yesterday afternoon and my display had shrunk from its native 1920 x 1080. The highest it will go in Settings is 1280 x 1024. The monitor is a SyncMaster 2233 and has been working perfectly for the last couple of years. Runninx XP home SP3. Any ideas anyone?
Also my Nvidia card is not being recognised (might have someting to do with my problem?)
