Reset display resolution

Hello,
Switched my computer on yesterday afternoon and my display had shrunk from its native 1920 x 1080. The highest it will go in Settings is 1280 x 1024. The monitor is a SyncMaster 2233 and has been working perfectly for the last couple of years. Runninx XP home SP3. Any ideas anyone?
Also my Nvidia card is not being recognised (might have someting to do with my problem?)

Sounds like a driver issue with the video card. That could definitely be the issue, being you have a picture at all do you see the video card in the Device Manager? I would check for a driver update at this point since you're already having an issue and see if that fixes it.

First Off Though Id Reccomend Trying A Different Card Just In Case Its The Card Itself

Does BIOS recognize your card ?
Make a complete re-install of the driver.
What is your card BTW ?
