I want to thank all the tom's hardware members who helped me decide what to get for it, all of your helpful advice and criticisms helped make DaKilla what it is. got alot to learn now about how to tweak and tune and oc and such..but at least it runs ;-)
The first game i installed (Batman Arkham Asylum) worked great at max settings in 3D. I've never seen any game in max settings OR 3D before...i was pretty fkn blown away. I didn't check fps rate but there was no noticeable lagging..3D was awesome. most fluid play i've ever known. I already own Arkham City, hope it releases soon, I can't wait!

So far..so awesome..compared to what i've experienced previously on any system...ever... if intel beats this level of perfection so what? I am so happy right now, you wouldn't even believe it. yes..i paid 3k for a future proof system that i plan on upgrading as finances allow...IT'S A FUCKIN' BULLDOZER!! deal with it! And when the next generation 8 core comes along...I'll be ready for it. thanks again for all the help everyone.

CPU: Intel i5-2500k
Mobo: MSI p67
RAM: Muskin 8GB (2x4)
GPU: ATI Radeon 5850s in crossfire
SSD: OCZ 60GB Vertex SSD
HDD: 500GB 7200rpm SATAII drive (I think it's a Samsung, can't remember off the top of my head).
Case: NZXT Beta Evo
PSU: XFX 600W 80+ Bronze (I can't remember the model.)
OD: LG 24x DVD burner (Again, not sure on this.)

Total cost was about $1050. All of these parts are at least 7 months old. Even with the hardware that's out today, I couldn't imagine spending another $1950 and getting a meaningful amount of additional speed.
