PC games on Window 7

Hello,
I recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5733Z with Windows 7. I have tried to play my Big Fish Games and they run fine but do not play on full screen. They were fine on my old computer with Windows XP. I am not a techi so looking for a simple and uncomplicated fix (if possible). Have tried changing the resolution on the laptop and also changed the properties on the game to maximize the full screen and so far nothing has worked. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Is your screen resolution different from the machine that had XP? That is a likely issue. You can change your screen resolution (right click on empty screen space and choose resolution) and that may help, but may distort things if you alter the ratio from native.)

Turn off Aero Themes if you have one on.

If you have Win 7 Pro, Enterprise or Ultimate, you can download and install the 3 files for XP mode free and run it under XP mode, which feels just like opening a program and should not slow you down with those games.
