Hi, just wanted to see if anyone knows how to do a blu ray upgrade on an Alienware M15x laptop. Having trouble because the dvd drive doesnt have a door flap, just a slit for inserting the disc. None of the blu ray drives I have seen have that.

I beleive there is something you can get called a SmartBay which allows you to put extra disk drives in this laptop, I would try google it if i was you and see what you can find

Hi :)

It can be done by stipping the lappy and replacing the mechanism but its VERY expensive...well over £100 PLUS labour... and you need a GOOD lappy technician to do it....it is NOT A diy JOB...
