Approximate Purchase Date: Around Halloween

Budget Range: Cheapest As Possible. Maybe 200-300ish?

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Internet Surfing, Storing Pictures, nothing else really.

Parts Not Required: Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor, etc

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg

Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: by brand or type: None

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1024x768

Additional Comments: It's for my mom, for basic internet surfing and storing all of her pictures on. I would like it the cheapest as possible to suit these needs. I also need an operating system. I don't really have a budget I just want it as cheap as possible as she doesn't really require much to surf the internet. :)

It's called a laptop. You should definitely check it out at newegg. It's impossible to make a build with only $200 lol especially with hard drive prices right now.

It's not impossible to make a 300 dollar build, I have heard seen many people do it. Hard drives I heard only went up about 10 bucks. There is a 7200 rpm 1tb on Newegg for 65. Used to be around 55 I believe. I know it is possible but I have no clue actually coming up with the build. :(

OS is $100 dollars. You can't make a setup with $200.

Cheap athlon with motherboard $110
RAM $25
PSU : $50
Hard drive: $65
OS: $100
Case : $30
Op drive : $20

$400

A rough draft.

It's really easy to make a set up with $300. if you only had an OS.

Get a netbook.
