Upgraded cpu black screen

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 REV 2.0
Gfx: nvidia GeForce pny gt 545
PS: 550w

Swapped a Athlon 64 X2 for a AMD Phenom2 x6 1045t
did the swap got a black screen no beeps. I've flashed and updated the BIOS several times with different versions from the gigabyte website. Been on this for 8 hours finally goin to the forums.
I've got the 12v connector plugged in also. the CPU is listed on the supported CPU list. Any help is welcomed.

Is the Phenom a new CPU or an used one? Have you checked it for bent pins?

It is new and I have checked the pins they are not bent or loose

Then try reinstalling it with the board outside the case.

You do know you have to flush the Bios after a firmware bios update dont you.
Short out the bios after the flash.
