My quadro 4000 very hot temperature

Hello,
my pny quadro 4000 very hot temperature.
The temperature is around 75c idle (gpu load is 0% and i set windows power saver mode, no app running, nvidia profile set to application deside all to defaults), and climbs to about 85-90c full load. the room temp 28c. running windows seven 64bit and may psu 570,core i7,gigabyte ex58-ud5 motherboard.

Shiiit.... Yea thats NOT good... If your computer is completely idle, nothing running, you should be at 50c TOPS. Normal idle temp is 30-40c, 50c TOPS. When did you last clean out your computer fan? You should definitely be cleaning it out every 2-3 months... DONT USE A VACCUM CLEANER. Use a can of compressed air! In your case, right now, I would take it in to a computer store. 75c idle is outrageous, even dust buildup in your fan shouldnt make it THAT hot. Go into your local computer store and get them to take a look at it, or you may risk burning out your CPU. I think there might be a problem with your fan or your CPU, or mabye both. Seriously, take it in as quick as you can...

I'd also suggest cleaning if the system is not new.

However, it is not critically urgent. That GPU is based on the Fermi architecture. The gaming version of that card runs pretty hot.

Is this system new?
