Power supply wont spin when connected to motherboard

Hey, i have a problem with my first and new gaming build, i connected every thing and it was all set but when i press the power button nothing happens at all, i tried it with a small clip and it started spinning but inside the motherboard nothing happens at all, i really need some help over here, this is my build:

Cpu: amd fx-6200 3.6 ghz (comes with fan)
Gpu: sapphire 7750 1gb
Power supply: antec 550w true power
Motherboard : gigabyte 990fxa-ud5
Ram: kingston 4gb 1600 mhz
Case: gz-g gigabyte
Hdd: WD 1tb 5400 rpm
Dvd writer : LG dvd writer 24x

Thank you so much it started working, finally, but my other problem is that my usb ports seen to not respond and i need to use atleast a keyboard to set up my bios and to install all the hardware needs from their cd's

You might have to enable all USB in BIOS. Had this issue a few years back with a AM2+ board from gigabyte and had to dig up an old PS2 keyboard out of storage. PS2 to USB adapter might work as well.
