Any difference between brands?

I've always been a fan of Corsair RAM. I once cheated on them with G.skill :D  I was curious if there is any difference between Corsair, the ballista tracers (pretty lights) and this new company Avexir (they seem to be more out in the open now that MSI's mPOwer board is available). There gaming series RAM has LED light like the tracers? Are there any differences between them or they are all the same, namely Corsair, Gskill, Ballista....as long as you stay with these brands.

Anyone hear of Avexir?

What are good speeds to OC (if I overclocking)? I see on the specs on MB's....1333/1600/2033* etc

For example: Im thinking of moving to Z77 board, possibly the MSI mPower board. I have the 3770k and I was reading that it's easy to OC to 4.2GHZ using OC Genie on the board. I thought (might, maybe) I would try it out. I saw a video on youtube that this guy OC his CPU and RAM (Ballista tracers).

I just recommend a name brand like you listed there at 1600MHz (the highest fully supported speed for IB) with reasonable timings. Overclocking the RAM doesn't get you far in games - but there may be specific app software that benefits from it.

You should be able to get at *least* 4.2 from any Z77 board and a cheap cooler.

Is 32GB overkill? I was thinking either 16 or 32GB.

Ya, I'd shoot for 9-9-9-24 @ 1.5V (or CAS 8 if close in price).
