Hello,

More about : connect dektop laptop monitor

No much info to go on - so my answer is "no"

(for a longer answer, there's no connector standard to do so - you could potentially take apart the laptop and re-wire the LCD connector, but this is NOT recommended, as it wouldn't necessarily work...and could ruin the laptop).

It is not possible to connect a desktop to a laptop monitor. The video port on the laptop don't support such a connection. Of course, most laptops can support both an internal and an external display.

What are you actually trying to do?

Unless he has a video capture card that is ;)

I'm presuming that's not exactly what he wants though (or she, I suppose I shouldn't assume).

That could be the case, but not a very practical solution (image quality, the laptop having to run at the same time, etc).
