Heatsink noise

I will be building a new computer in the next week here and will be running a I5 2500. I was wondering if any one else was running this CPU withthe stock heatsink? I was wondering ho quiet it is when playing games or what ever you may be doing. I am trying to go for a quiet computer. so if I would need a aftermarket cooler any recommendations. would be appreciated. will not be over clocking

The stock intel cpu cooler does the job. But, when the cpu is under load, the small cooler fan spins up and can be noisy.

I suggest you budget about $30 for an aftermarket cooler with a slow turning 120mm fan.

Look at the Xigmatek gaia or the cm hyper212.

There are others, most will do.
