I'm planning to build a new budget computer (Most likely using AMD processor). I looking for a video card around 100-150 range Any suggestions?

It's amazing how people come on here and say I need a computer in the 1000 range. I mean it really helps to know if were talking about Pounds, US dollars, Canadian or Euro.

We are not mindreaders.

Now how about giving us the rest of the information you left out.

What cpu? What mobo? What power supply make and model? What resolution is your monitor?

Telling us "likely a amd processor" does not tell us much. You could be talking about a single core Athlon64 3000+ or a hexacore Phenom II X6 1100T.

Actually GeekApp. ; I CAN read your mind ! At this excact moment you think ; no, you can't, you . . . Am i right or am i right ? Sigh, ..., i know i shut up.
Maybe, IF your system is up to it this one, it's closest ( bit more ) to 150 DOLLARS ( Canadian ) and imo is the lowest priced high end GPU you should get if you wanne play at high settings ; http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130565&cm_sp=Pers_StoreMostWishedMore-_-14-130-565_9_CWsh_-_-1_38___

It doesn't matter.

You want a AM3+ motherboard, not a AM3 motherboard. If you go AM3, you have no upgrade path. If you go AM3+ then you have upgrade-ability for the new AMD processors which are not out yet.

You can't use the board you chose for crossfire anyways, it's only 16x/4x pci-e. You want 16x/16x, 16x/8x, or 8x/8x.

In that price range for a video card your looking at a 5770 up to a GTX560, depending on what you want to spend and if you do rebates or not. Check the email specials and daily deals on newegg.
