I have an Asus Z68 V-Pro and a 3570 and I think I need a bios update to get to post. Do I need to have a Sandy-Bridge processor installed in order to flash the bios update or can I flash it with the 3570 installed?

You will need to download the bios file to a flash drive and boot up to it. Here's one article with tips: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?13928-P67-Z68-...**-Ivy-Bridge-BIOS-Update-procedure&country=&status=. Otherwise, get a celeron 1155 such as the 530 cpu to flash then sell the cpu on craigslist or anandtech's for sale forum.
