Hey everybody, I've got plans to buy a new PSU later... but i dont know which one.. my money is very limited so i'd prefer buying the cheapest out of these 2:

PC Specs:

Motherboard: Asrock AliveXfire-eSata2
CPU: Amd Athlon x2 6000+ 64bit
Graphics: Asus 8800GT 512MB
Hard Disk: 160GB 8MB cache SataII
Fans: One on the side of the case.. (8mm) and one at the back (12mm)
RAM: OCZ 2x1GB DDRII800 Dual Channel Kit

by the way.. i need the one with the highest Amperage.. as my Graphics recommends high amperage..
Here is the 2 i've come up with.. and I will NOT go for any other ones.. so i've gotta decide between these two..

Antec Earthwatts 380W:

Gigabyte Superb 460W:

I'm not sure about the amperage on these.. as i dont really know much about calculating amperage etc.. but i THINK the gigabyte one is cheaper, has more wattage and higher amperage... I'm not sure.. please help me out..

From what I've found, the antec has more amperage on the +12v rail.

antec: 2x17a rails

gigabyte: 1x14a and 1x15a rails.

You can buy either of those power supplies and they will work, but I'd buy the antec over the gigabyte.

the thing is.. my budget is very limited.. there wont really be a decrease in performance if i get the gigabyte one right?

and also.. from what i've heard.. i think the 8800GT 512mb needs 22a on the 12v rail or 26a on the 12v rail.. i dont really know :S

If your on a tight budget, get the Gigabyte. It will be fine.

An undersized PSU will not decrease performance. Usually, you won't get any performance, because your PC will just crash or not start at all. Won't happen with the Gigabyte though.

A quality psu is very high up on the pc priority list and I have that antec and I think its worth the extra cash. Just my opinion

5 more amps... but less wattage, which shouldn't be a big problem.. as antec seems to be the one more people choose
