OK, I guess I should have mentioned that I was working on a bit of a smaller budget, although that quad you listed is pretty darn close. What are your thoughts on the FX-4170 4.2GHz Quad-Core Socket AM3+ CPU and how does it compare with the one you listed?:

The 4300 is the newer Piledriver and more energy efficient, it is basically the newer version with most of the bugs of the 41xx worked out. They are in the same spot in the chart http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html

Thanks, I think I will give the 4300 a look over.

Any thought on the board I have chosen? I am open for suggestions, I did a bit of reading on that board and it looks to be what I want and at the right price.

OK, I have shifted gears and decided to "upgrade" my plans.

Starting to get parts list together for another build and could use some advice/suggestions.

Hows the mobo look? Should I aim higher?

Also not sure on the CPU (option 1), does it have the stones needed or should I upgrade?
