ATI 5870 Screen goes blank then comes back on randomly

Hi guys I have a 10 month old ATI 5870. I have it connected to my 1080p TV and for some reason when playing a game or looking at a web page and even some times just sitting idle the screen will tear for an instant then go black. This only happens for a second then it come back on. I am using 11.8 the newest driver and it started happening a few weeks after I installed the driver. This is becomming very annoying and would love any help any one could give me about fixing this problem. Thank you!
