Upon opening my computer to add ram I found that all 4 slots were occupied. It's a refurbished Dell Precision 380. Does this mean I can't add ram to my computer?

Check your manual to make sure your computer can use more RAM than it already has installed. You would have to replace the sticks you have with compatible larger-capacity RAM.
