6970 Eyefinity

I'm trying to connect 3 monitors to my 6970. I have one 27" LED HDMI monitor and 2 17" Dell Ultra Sharps (DVI and VGA Connectors).

My question is, can I connect the 27" in the HDMI port, and the 2 17"s in the 2 DVI ports directly? I want to have the 2 17"s vertical, and the 27 horizontal.

My card has 1 HDMI and 2 DVI ports. Or do I need to buy adapters and run the 2 monitors through the mini display ports?

You need to use at least one displayport.

You do know that all 3 screens need to be the same resolution for eyefinity yes?

Figured it out, I'm not running eyefinity, decided to go with the windows way. This way I have 3 separate monitors and I managed to rotate the 2 17s to portrait. When I maximize a windows it maximizes on that particular screen, not across all three (which is what I wanted).

Got a mini display port to VGA adapter and it works fine. Thanks for the reply tho
