how about including the cm gx550 in the group?is the corsair still better?
  3. Stay away from cooler master psu's period.
  4. why?cooler master also known as a good brand of psu
  5. The Antec unit in this case is probably the better unit. The maker of the Antec unit is Seasonic, while the maker of the Corsair unit is CWT.

However the Corsair unit is also a good unit, so it is a perfectly viable option.

can u give me a link about the gx series negative feedback
  8. I don't see any analysis of the voltage regulation, line noise, or many specifics at all in that review to be honest. The Jonnyguru and HardOCP sites do thorough testing on the units before writing their reviews.
  9. Another one that just keeps going and going ......................

The GX line up used to have Seventeam guts , except for the little 450w which is built by Enhance, and got a good review

The entire GX line up is now made with Enhance guts, can't keep going back to the reviews of the Seventeam built unit's to say that the entire line is bad.
  10. As long as they are getting a new Unit they should be fine. Just check this list:

    http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page364.htm

And don't get anything made by Seventeam, Solytech, or AcBel. Wait for the reviews before getting an ANTG. Their stuff is inconstant.

eta: ighamerz review link is of one of the bad units, still... go by Jonnyguru or HardOCP.
  11. yes i read review regarding of gx 650 and 750 but still the gx550 has no identity of being a bad psu,so it means it cannot be consider to line up in bad units of gx series
  12. The different models in the same line being different qualities, are typically linked in with who actually manufactures the unit. If you get a GX550 make sure its one of the new ones model RS-550-ACAA-D3

The quick way to tell them apart is that the new model is Bronze 80+ and the old unit is Standard 80+

    Look for the bronze...

Here is a review of the new units little brother:

eta: one thing I don't like about the Jonnyguru reviews, are the Value and Aesthetics categories. Those categories can pull down the rating of a good unit, or boost the rating of a bad unit. Value is ephemeral, and aesthetics is in the eye of the beholder (plus a good portion of the time, its unseen)
