Pc takes forever to post, please help

hi all, just put my old rig in a new case for my kid. problem is, the thing takes a full 60 seconds to start up. i'm not talking boot into windows, i'm talking about turning on in general. 60 seconds for the one short awardbios beep to let me know things are a ok.

I have a bad bios battery, have forever. onky change is the videocard. oh and the thing once said current detected through usb l, so we unplugged those.

asus ml2 sli
6gb ram
xfx one graphics card
amd 5000+ cpu

cd rom standard and maxtor 100gb hdd, also new..

what could be causing this?

tried 1 stick ram, clearing cmos jumpers. current through usb is what worries me. I know psu is good. its an old 460w enermax btw 12v i thing
