Hello, this is my first build and I'm looking for some guidance and suggestions on how to improve it. Will mostly be a gaming PC to play Minecraft, BF3, etc.
So far I have:

EVGA GTX570 Superclocked

Kingwin LAZER 850w power supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E168...

Logitech G110
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E168...

Corsair Obsidian 650D

Mushkin Radioactive 8GB 1600 RAM

ASrock Z68 Extreme7 GEN3 motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E168...

Asus 24' Monitor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E168...

Patriot Wildfire 240GB SSD (os and main programs)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E168...

RAZER Death adder mouse
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E168...

Intel i5 2500K CPU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E168...

Corsair H100 CPU cooler

Some notes: I plan to overclock a little bit, but not push anything too much as this IS my first build. Also, I have doubts on both the mobo and SSD. Both have high failure rates and need opinions on both.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Ktish

Hey that's like my system. You won't need hydro cooling. Corsair A70 will do just fine.
Also the mobo, you don't need extreme 7, extreme 4 is good.
Kingwin Lazer? Eh? You are not gonna spend so much money and have it blow coz of that psu? Get a quality one.
Probably overdoing it with the patriot but i own it too... aaahhh sweet patriot.
Also get a hdd. ATM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... best bang for buck.
570 runs hot hot hot. 6970 or 6950

1. I want the H100 because it achieves the look I'm going for. I don't like air coolers.
2. I agree, I could use the money elsewhere.
3. Kingwin doesn't seem all that bad, but I could look into other brands.
4. I was planning on getting a HDD a month or so after, but do you think a WD Caviar Black 1TB SATA III be better?
5. The main game I'm going to play, BF3, shows that the 570 scales better when you add 'eye candy' like higher anti-aliasing and such. So I'd rather stay Nvidia vs AMD for GPUs.

Good suggestions though :>

1. Well ok, just know it is very loud.
3. I don't know kingwin, but i do know that the PSU is like the heart for a computer. You don't want it pumping bad blood into your computer and neither you want it blowing up taking something along.
4. No mechanical hdd can saturate the sata2 controller for now. Sata2, sata3, for hdds same difference (cache too). ATM with the floods prices are sky-high. Samsung F3 is the fastest in the world atm. Seagate barracuda 7200.12 and caviar black are en-par. If you are worried about warranty go with caviars. Other than that, meh, just go with less $ per gb. I use them all, they all are good.
5. Yes there is nothing wrong with the 570. The differences are so subtle (even for your eyes) that you should either follow your gut or your pocket :D

1. It shouldn't bee too loud with 2 fans installed. But, I won't know till I get it.
2. Changed it to a corsair AX850.
3. Will be buying this after Xmas, so I'll see prices then.
4. I'm actually now thinking about buying a 560Ti then upgrading to GTX6** (sli possibly) when they hit the market. Thoughts?

The corsair ax850 rawr. With that beast you can easily set up 2x570
Well you can't go wrong with either choice of gfx card. I would go with the 570 for that eye candy :D  :D
