HDD Installation

Hello, I cannot seem to fit my HDD into the specified slot within the tower. The tower came with a sleeve to hold the HDD but it will not fit. Would it be possible to just place my HDD into the slot on the tower, or are there any alternatives? Thank you!

Can you please post some photographs?

It sounds as if you have a mechanical obstruction of some kind,
but without photos, I'm only guessing.
