You have to switch to TV out mode under your display properties, if you have Windows, of course.

i have switched to tv in the settings tab. But my monitor is blank and my tv only shows me tvprograms.
do I have to do something withe my refresh rate, colours or the tv/vcr?

On my TV I have to switch to a video input signal. There is a little button on my remote that is labelled "input". If you can somehow switch your TV like this you'll probably see it. Strange though, usually if you don't say "yes" to save the settings change, the video will revert back to the monitor. That is how mine works, anyway. I have a Hercules Prophet DDR-DVI (Gefore1 chipset). When I switch to TV mode it usually asks me what format I want to display in. I click on NTSC (National Television Standards Committee) format since I live in the US and then everything is dandy. Not sure if any of this helps. I have a friend with a TNT2 (STB Velocity 4400) card and his won't work either. He gets blank screens on both.

What kind of connectors does your TV have? I would feel much better about connecting it directly to the TV.
