USB LCD Touchscreen

I'm interested in a USB LCD touchscreen similar to http://www.amazon.com/UM-720S-Scree...P4Z8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1314880563&sr=8-2 but I like capacitive screens better. Pretty much what I think I want is an iPad without all the expensive innards to use say for reading reference materials while working on development.

Is such an option available for a reasonable price? Am I correct in preferring capacitive or have newer resistive screens improved (I've got an older 7 inch resistive touch screen and the precision is lacking and required pressure is annoying...)?

We have a few Planar screens at work I helped install, work pretty well. The original one I linked will not get you super accurate or easy to use touch, but it's 1/3rd- 1/4 the price of a high-end 19" touch panel.
