I'll be sporting an i5 2500k CPU. My monitor only runs in 1280.1024 max, though I could see myself buying another larger monitor maybe in a year, though it's not important to me right now.

I've spent probably 6 hours trying to decide on a graphics card. I cannot for the life of me really decide on whether to go Radeon or Nvidia, then whether to go either 6950/70 or GTX 560 ti... Then which actual model is the best within those categories; which hits the sweet spot of price vs performance...

If anyone cares to help me narrow things down that would be great.

There is a fairly big price diffrence between the cards you have listed. The 6970 is best(and quite a bit more money), and the 6950 and 560ti are comparable. But in all cases these cards are overkill for your current resolution. You mentioned upgrading at some point so I would recommend if the money is on big deal the 6970. I have the 6950 and it's great.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about the 6970 being overkill. Really it's between the 560 and the 6950 for me... But can you or anyone else give any pros and cons between the two taking into account the type of CPU I'm going with or the sompanies in general, and which model from each spectrum are top choices?

Also.. Physx... Worth it?
