Ram issue: Asus M5a99x Evo r2.0

Hello, this is my first post on these forums so sorry if I get the formatting of this wrong. I'm building my first pc and spent all of yesterday doing so. Worked out well, but the only problem is that my bios and Windows(Proffessional) are only registering 8176Mb of Ram when I have 16Gb (2 x 8Gb) Installed. I have not been connected to the internet yet because I haven't got an ethernet cable yet so I haven't updated the bios or anything else yet all though I have all of the drivers (that are not a download) installed. If I'm missing any information, please let me know

My Ram is: Rip Jaws Gskill 14900CL10D 16GBXL
My Motherboard is: Asus m5a99x Evo r2.0
My bios version is: 0213

Hi, I would firtly test the board with only one RAM stick installed. Test each RAM and each bord's slot.
