I'm looking for a good psu around 500-550w to power my rig and can't decide between these two... On one hand corsair is a good quality brand and the psu has light (that's always a plus I guess lol), or the rosewill that is 80+ GOLD certified, so I will be getting much more efficiency.
intel i5 2500
amd radeon 6870
g skill sniper 2 x 4g (8gb total)
MSI P67A-G43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67
western digital 7200rpm 16mb cache 500gb
I would go for the rosewill capstone, the GS series is corsairs middle of the road series and comes with a short warranty, the capstone comes with a full 5 year warranty on a nice efficient super flower platform for a fair bit less.
Rosewill has been trying to step up their game to be a respectable brand, the capstone series is a good step for them.
The Corsair Gaming Series GS600 (CMPSU-600G) is based on the mid range CWT PSH II 600 platform, with its +12 Volt continuous current rating of 48 Amps and with two (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, is more than sufficient to power a system with a single Radeon HD 6870.
The Rosewill CAPSTONE Series 550W (CAPSTONE-550) is based on Super Flower's Golden Green Pro SF-550P14XE platform, with its +12 Volt continuous current rating of 45 Amps and with two (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, is also more than sufficient to power a system with a single Radeon HD 6870.
My vote goes to the Rosewill CAPSTONE Series 550W (CAPSTONE-550). My opinion is that the Super Flower Golden Green Pro platform is better than the CWT PSH II platform.
