Issue with new setup!

I have updated my system to an Intel i5 3570k, ASRock Z77 extreme 4, 8gb G.Skill 1600mhz ram. All is working fine so far except the sound. the sound works and sounds fine but it is very quiet. I have tried adjusting volumes all are on max. my older motherboard didn't have this issue does anyone have an idea on how to fix it?

I assume you installed the proper sound drivers for the ASRock Z77 motherboard?

yup I have tried downloading off the realtek site, ive tried using the ones off the motherboard disc, and off the ASRock site. could an older version of realtek driver work?
