Will my old power supply work with new motherboard

Hi I have recently purchased a new motherboard / cpu and i was wondering if the power supply i purchased in 2008 will work for my new setup

Yes it will, The connectors have not changed in that time.

I have the HX 850 and it has not issues with any modern systems.
