Caps Lock & Num Lock Lights

Hello I have a Hp pavillion dv7 laptop that has no display on the screen, when hit the power button the panel lights come on but there's no display on the screen and I can usually hear the fan spinning on start up but then it just stops suddenly and then the little lights beside the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys come on and start to blink . I really don't know what could be causing this problem If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it, thank you.
