I have a Seasonic X Series 850W psu and a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4 TH motherboard. I started the assembly and had trouble fitting in the 24 pin connector to the motherboard. I had them in the right orientation and there is nothing to suggest that the fit is incompatible. I plugged in the CPU power supply cable just fine. Is this more likely to be an issue with the PSU or MB manufacturers, or an entirely separate issue? Thanks for the help.

Yes, the issue is in getting the sockets to fit into the pins of the motherboard- the plastic parts fit in just fine. I get trouble when I try to snap in the latch from the power cord, and it is hard to tell if the pins are bent or not
