Need help with a moderate upgrade (motherboard related)

Hello, and good evening. A few months ago I built my first PC. After struggling with motherboard issues for the better part of a month, I cut my losses and bought a POS motherboard to use until I could save up for another one. I'm at a point where the extremely low-end motherboard is holding back the rest of my system, and with Battlefield 3 out, and Skyrim on the horizon, I need to upgrade my PC. I'm willing to spend up to $400, and am mainly interested in a very good, compatible motherboard that will be relatively future-proof. Multiple PCI-e slots is a must, along with USB 3.0, and numerous SATA connections.

Approximate Purchase Date: This week

Budget Range: (e.g.: 600-800) $400.00 after rebates
