Im sure that system will work well. Looks like you have chosed some good quality components.

5. Take a look at the PNY GTX580 card as an alternative to the 6970. This has a closed loop water cooling system on it, and has had some great reviews. There are two versions of the card. One version cools your cpu and your video card on a single system.

6. Personally i would spend a little bit extra and go for a 120 GB corsair ssd drive. Very little cost difference for 25% more capacity.

7. Check the compatibility chart from your mobo manufacturer for the ram chips. That way you will be getting the most compatible chips and save yourself an lot of time and effort.

11. You wont need a cpu cooler if you have a PNY water cooled graphics card (with cpu cap)

I can't see building an MAD based box at any price point above $800. And any MoBo chosen would have to have a 3 or 5 year warranty

For video, I'd be using a Segate Barracuda XT 3 TB

ANd yes, I'd want a 120GB SSD with at least 50 MBps read performance

The HX850 gets a 10.0 performance rating @ jonnyguru and is cheaper than the 9.5 rated AX850

Video editing and a non CUDA enabled GFX card ?

Twin 900 MHz 560's would cost ya about $410 here in the US.

V6 GT sounds like you live next to an airport. Consider the Silver Arrow which is a half degree behind but almost dead silent

For RAM I'd use two of these:

Consider the Antec 1200 or DF-85 w/ CP-850 as it easily matches, if not surpasses your original choices but at a much lower cost:

It is completely unmatched by any ATX unit on the market I can think of. You'd have to spend twice as much as this thing costs to find the next best thing, performance wise.
