Memory buggy ? Tags: Asus RAM Compatibility Memory Motherboards dport337 December 4, 2012 2:42:04 PM Hey, 1st my PC was crashing because i had ram in slots 1 and 2 (Even though 1 and 3 are compatible or color coded) I thought this was simple enough and moved ram to slots 2 and 4. PC worked fine for one day no problem, then just today my ram said only 3.8GB was usable. I instantly reseated my ram to slots 1 and 3 and now it reads 8GB ram. Was this issue just because i wasn't using slot 1? or maybe is it my board? I have the Asus M5 A97 R2.0 I only have the updates from the CD i think. Should i download the latest Bios update? If so should i update anything for my board? Here is the link to the drivers i can install. http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A97_R20/...
