Error on CD

Hey guys my computer just came in today and im trying to use the support cd that came with it im pretty sure it for the motherboard to install drivers and such but every time I try to use it I keep getting an error

access violation at address 00455e2b in module 'ASRSetup.exe'. Read of address 00000008

any help?

  1. Ive got exactly the same problem. it worked perfectly when i installed xp but a day later i installed windows 8 and now it doesnt work!

    for those who's still struggling with this, after you insert the dvd, don't run the .exe, go to view file and try the compatibility with window xp sp3. That's worked for me!
