Asrock 970 extreme 3 install on brand new computer

Alright I am sure this is probably user error but I could use help from those more knowledgable.

Building a whole new computer, purchased all the components and hooked them up. Did a clone of my old hard drive and made it bootable (though unable to test it yet) Also tried installing the drivers on my new hard drive during the cloning process.

Get everything hooked up turn it on aaaand no screen popping on the monitor. All the fans are running for the CPU and Graphics card. So I am currently at a loss.

At first I thought it might be the motherboard not sending the video through the graphics card but the board has no video output for me to test this (or an output I am not familiar with)

Some thoughts I had were
- Just need to use the board starter cd / graphic driver cd
- I am i error on the board not having having a video output and need to get an adaptor... if so which
- I need a lot more help then this can provide and should take it in for the final steps.
Sooo any help would be appreciated.
