Concerned about motherboard

So I mounted the standoffs onto the tempest 410 elite case, and then I placed my mobo on top of them. I noticed one of the holes on the motherboard were a little of the side but I thought it would be okay. But when it came to twisting the screw on that hole, it was hard to twist so I tried to take it back out by untwisting it. While I was untwisting it I heard a click, and then I untwisted a little bit more and heard another click. I immediately stopped what I was doing and just left it there. Now I'm a bit concerned. Did anything happen to my mobo and what should I do? These are new hardware and I'm a first time builder.
