alright guy so im not sure on what cpu to get for my new video editing machine now i will be using primarily vegas pro and i will be gaming a little bit on it also. so should i get a 2500k or the 8120

For video editing, both are good choices, but the i5 is the winner in gaming and consumes less power so I would go with that.

i5 outperforms the 8120 in rendering.

the 8120 will be slightly faster in video editing compatible to the i7 I think. But the i5 wins hands down on gaming performance.

the 2500K overclocks very well, consumes less power and is faster in most, if not all the cases...
