NEED HELP! I wish to do a triple monitor setup with an ATI 6850 graphics card with Eyefinity. I also have i3 sandy bridge, asus mobo, 8 gig ram, 1 tb hard drive. Will my 500watt corsair power supply handle triple monitors? I hear the monitors have their own power supply so it won't take up that much? Note that I have already built my pc with an gtx 460 and 500 watt power supply, but want to change to ATI 6850 for eyefinity without having to change 500watt supply. Is this possible? Triple monitors with 500w? I don't overclock or any of that. Thanks!

Yes its ok because the monitors have they own power supply.

on average the 6850 requires a 450 watt power supply (reccomended), you should be fine.

Although the card probably wouldnt handle it you could easily but 6 monitors on and it would use ~ the same power.

As long as you can use the card then you can use as many monitors as the card supports.

All in all.....your ok, welcome to the world of multi-monitors.
