Comments:

Template didn't paste before, opps.

This will be my first solo build, and I am hoping to get some advice/input as far as my components... would hate to have any incompatibility ruin the moment.

Basically it will be a gaming rig for SWTOR/Skyrim, with some video editing and adobe AI/PSD work at times. Looking to make it expandable and have some longevity for future use and additions. I was hoping to be >$1500 and have accomplished that with a little to spare, with MIR's it's actually about $1250-1300. I was considering adding in the new 8-core cpu, but it seemed overkill for what I need. I opted for the HD6950 as I researched and found that with overclock it's basically a cheaper 6970. I also went for a 128GB SSD as I won't need much storage atm (I have a ton of external drives) and was wondering if that SSD alone is sufficient or if I should add x 2 for maximum speed... though I have read it's not much of a difference as long as the OS/games are on the SSD and data is elsewhere.

Any idea's on additions or changes that would benefit the build?

Thanks so much for any help, and looking forward to starting!

bulldozer won't give you any particular benefits as you said that this pc is for gamming and some video editing so games require 2 or 4 cores not more than this i agree that bulldozer can beat 2500k but the performance of 2500k is closer to that bulldozer so go with intel setup.

Would it be possible to use the 990FX Sabertooth mobo (ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131736
) with this set-up?

impossible, amd is socket is much different from intel socket.
e.g
(amd) am2,am3,am3+
(intel) lga 775,lga1155,lga1156,lga1336

for that setup you must use an lga 1155 like asus p8z68 vpro or asrock z68 extreme4.
