This is my current system :
Cooler Master HAF-X
Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz
COOLER MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP
ASUS Sabertooth X58
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 12GB
(2) MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozr II
OCZ Z Series Gold OCZZ850M
(3) Acer GD235HZbid Black / Orange 23.6

So I built this last tax season (right as Sandy Bridge got recalled *cries*) and I was agonizing on what to upgrade and decided to go for Graphic power rather than buy a new CPU. I plan on using one of the 560s as PHYS X and donating the other. My PSU was rmaed to new egg for high pitched noises, replacement did the same then New Egg discontinued them, so screw that thing. I want to try water cooling and possibly finally OCing. I love this gigabyte board and its like half off with the damn rebate!! The 580 cards offer a lot of memory, so I hope that will be better for a surround system.

I would just like general thoughts on these upgrades. Especially on the PSU, and I see a lot of people concerned with bottle necking the CPU.

I want to shove this all in an Antec DF-85 and keep my HAF-X for my next build.

Do not get that Thermaltake PSU. Here is a top notch PSU for the same money as that one after rebate.

I agree with Amuffin on the RASA being a much better watercooling setup.

I also agree with him on waiting to make a purchase this big until Keppler is released. It may be a huge step up.

Something to think about as it seems you have a very high budget here but dropping LGA 1366 altogether and building an LGA 2011 platform. You could save some money in that watercooling would not be necessary. You would be able to hit very high clocks on a good air cooler. You would not only gain higher clock speeds than that i7 960 will give you with any cooling you also gain 6 cores and quad channel memory.

So my deal is I am terrible at saving money, so I put extra into my federal and claim 0. So I get a nice chunk back with Federal, if it werent for bills id have 5k to play with, but instead ive got like 2k.

Theres no way im holding onto that money for a while :p So I guess ill always be a step behind.
