More about what graphics cards
  1. Its a GTS 450 for me ;)
  2. based on what the options are, i betting its gonna be 90% other
  3. Yes. You should have made more options to chose from. Mine is a 5770.
  4. 2X 580gtx sli in my one rig
and second rig is running a 570gtx sc
  5. 6750!
  6. I have a 5750 in my rig, a 4850 in my wife's. Passing her old 8800GS to a roommate. Not everyone runs big cards. I would love to get a bigger card like a 6850 or 6870, but I only play Source games like TF2 and L4D2. At 1050 with everything but AA maxed I have a completely fluid game play. (4x AA on TF2, I think same or 2xAA on L4D2.) I just can't justify buying a new card when I don't need it. Perhaps with D3 comes out I'll get a new one.
  7. Lucky he put any AMD cards in there.
  8. I have in various family PC's in no specific order. I list them as mine as i paid for all the rigs so i figure they are still technically mine :kaola:

    1. Rage 3D prophet 128mb
    2. 9800 SE AIW
    3. X1650XT
    4. HD 3850
    5. HD 4770
    6. HD 5830

    Mactronix :)
  9. Yup I too have 5770 in my desktop and 6770M in my notebook ......... and none of them are listed :p
  10. 3-way Evga GTX 580 3 gb Hydro copper 2.
  11. Of what possible benefit is this thread?
  12. Desktop is running a 9500GT at the moment, and the laptop is running an integrated Intel card. I don't game, so need for high end graphics card.
  13. Radeon HD 5850 in my primary rig.

    GeForce 9600GT in my HTPC.

GeForce GT 550M in my laptop.
  14. MSI 4870 1GB
  15. My main pc two 4890Cf. 8800gt in brothers. 7600gt in desktop every one can use. Lol not everyone goes and buys the latest and greatest.
  16. Radeon HD 6870 here.
  17. Haha I guess not many ppl have like TOP gphx cards :P
  18. Maybe the person who started it wants to see what is the most popular cards.
  19. 5770 and 8800gt
  20. im pretty sure they started this thread with potential cards to buy and will most likely ask questions about the most used card in another thread

Does the Rage still work ?

    Mactronix :)

Freedom of speech and all that i guess the OP can ask what ever they like (within reason...obviously)

    Mactronix :)
  23. fx5500 :: flex ::
  24. i use the HIS ATi HD 6670 1GB . The Card is amazing for what i payed. 100$ on newegg.
  25. I'm still using a 2-year old 4890 in my primary PC.
My second PC has a 4850-512.
My bro's PC has an 8800GT-512 originally used in my old AM2 5000+ BE system.
That AM2 5000+ system was relegated to "family" use, sporting a 4670-512.

All of these cards are still fully capable of fluid performance in all tasks asked of them in their specific systems, but have begun to show their age in newer games. Upgrade time is approaching, but isn't really necessary yet.
  26. I've got a GTX280 in my desktop, and I have an ATi Mobility Radeon X1600 in my laptop. Still both great chips for their age
  27. I use an Euclideon voxel renderer, using the sparse voxel octree system ! Really great !
  28. I have GTX 460s in SLI in my desktop. Radeon mobile HD 4670 in laptop. Ion in XBMC HTPC. In girlfriend's HTPC I have my old 8800GT.
  29. I would not have paid $100 for a 6670. That is 5770/6770 or GTS450/550 territory. 6670s should be more like $80, and even then its not much of a deal.
  30. 6870 x2 (xfire)
  31. Three desktop systems:
Gaming machine - GTX260 - hey, I am two years behind on my gaming anyway. :)
    Torrent box - 640 MB 8800GTS
    Workhorse machine - 4870.

The 260 seems to work a little better than the 4870 for what I do. That's why it is in the gaming machine.

you could always upgrade that am2 system with an AM3 proccessor if your motherboard can accept am3 processors (some am2 boards do).
  33. I have 9800GT in my desktop and 6470M in notebook. 98GT's TDP is so GREAT!
  34. fix to earlier crack; I run a gtx 570 and love it.

There's really no need... It still does all it needs to do -- email, web-browsing, stream netflix, light gaming, etc..

  37. Geforce Mobile 7300GT (laptop)
    Geforce 8800GTS-640 (desktop)
    Radeon HD4670 (HTPC)

Oh I understand, and I'm well aware of my options.

The problem with that particular motherboard (MSI K9A2-CF) is it's hard-limited to 95W CPUs. (MSI chose shitty MOSFETS, which were upgraded in the "V2" model of the same board to support 125/140W Phenom CPUs.) Any AM3 CPU I dropped into it couldn't be unlocked (SB650 doesn't have ACC) or overclocked (much, if at all) without risking the entire board due to power limitations.
  39. Asus 6870x2
