Hi, I am wondering if I will be able to run BF3 in ult setting with this build.

I will be playing on 1920 x 1080.

any comment or suggestion will help.

Here are some of the parts I am considering of buying.

Case : Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - $99.99

MOBO : AsRock z68 Extreme3 gen3 - $124.99

CPU : Intel Core i5-2500k SB - $219.99

CPU : Zalman cnps9900 max-b cooler - $59.99

GPU : EVGA Superclocked GTX 570 - $359.99

HD : Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1 TB 7200RPM SATA - $74.95

PSU : CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W - 109.99

RAM : G.skill ripjaw x series 8GB - $48.99

DVD : Asus DVD burner - $19.99

Total with tax and shipping is a bit over $1200 without the mail in rebates.

And this is the absolute maximum budget for me.

More about : run bf3 ult setting

Probably not ultra settings but fairly high with low AA. If you waited a bit longer and stretched a bit you could get a 6970 Sapphire BF3 edition that comes with there best features like vapor x and its per-overclocked which would run BF3 on quite high settings. Other then that all of your other parts are perfect for this build, you probably don't need such a high wattage power supply unless you plan to upgrade to a Crossfire setup in the future.

hmm.. if thats the case, im considering of getting gtx 460 sli.

This is my first build so i dont know much about sli.

are they difficult to work with???

No, but i would recommend going Crossfire over SLI because it has more flexible options, they are both easy to work with and get great performance, all you have to do is plug a little connecter in to both cards.

It will be coming out very soon.

cool. thx for ur comments.

im planning to order my parts within 2 week.

if this doesnt come out in that time, im just getting the gtx 570

OK, that's also a great choice, what manufacture are you thinking of getting it from ?

I was thinking of MSI twinfrozer III but im locked on EVGA since they offer lifetime warranty.

MSI doesnt.

How long is the warranty on the frozer ?

doesnt even say if there are any warranty.

Only concern i have is that people reviewed EVGA to be a bit loud on load.

Honestly his build choice is good enough. He will not be able to play every setting on Ultra but its close really your choices are just fine.

To play everything on Ultra you would want a GTX 580 or or a 570 SLI or if you Amd you could do 6950 CF or 6970 CF

I dont have the budget for 580 or 570 sli same for the CF.

Thats why I was thinking of doing 460 sli which seems to get about the same if not better performance

compared to 580.
