Question on MB headers

Hi, Am in the process of a new build with ASRock Z77 Extreme4 & using a Corsair Obsidian 650 D case. I am thinking of cutting a few of the front I/O wires not needed. The 1394 wire (not supported by my mb) and another that I am not sure of its identity (pic). A few less wires to deal with would be welcome. Could someone identify this plug?

Thanks
Dennis

That is a SATA power plug. If you want to use a SATA drive in the top external bay this will have to be attached to a SATA power from your PSU.
  2. Also, coil up unused connectors, don't cut them. You may regret it some day. And it may cause an inadvertent short somewhere.
