RAM-Motherboard Compatability

I have the ASUS P8H61-M LE/CSM (REV 3.0) Bios is the most recent
In the specifications it says it's only compatible with 1333mhz and 1066mhz DDR3 Ram.

I was wondering if I could use 1600mhz or 1866mhz RAM with it as my friend has some extra 4GB dimms around.

I've searched around Google, but I haven't found a straight-forward answer, and I wouldn't think that it would be strictly tied down to 1333mhz and 1066mhz ram
I also checked the Memory FAQ. Didn't find an answer there

Right now i have the G.SKILL F3-10666CL9D-4GBNQ PC3-10666 2x2GB set and it works fine, but i feel that having 8GB total would be really nice,
When I first booted up my build I think in the BIOS it said that it was running at a little over 1333MHz anyways.

Would be really nice if someone could get me a straightforward answer ASAP

Faster ram has no problem running at lower speeds so his modules should work fine in your system just as long it is 1.5volt ram.

So I should go into the BIOS or something and clock the RAM at a lower speed?
