Can we add graphics in intel hm65 laptop?

Hello, few days back i've purchased a Sony VAIO E Series VPCEH15EN with with chipset Intel HM65 Express. with no graphics card, so can i add any GPU in that?

but i've seen other laptop models having the same chipset, with a dedicated graphics card (GPU). so why cant i add in this?

Because dedicated graphics for laptops come in two different ways:

1.- With the graphics chips soldered to the motherboard (nothing you can do here.)

2.- In MXM slots. While these would accept any compliant cards, you would need the physical slot in the first place. In your computer, it's not present.

While the MXM standard is non-proprietary, the motherboard design of your laptop is, hence the reason it doesn't have an MXM slot. The computer is just not designed for dedicated graphics.

Asus once offered an external PCI-E adapter that could accomodate a graphics card. An interesting gadget, though it caused bottlenecks.

Currently, I believe MSI has developed its own, Thunderbolt-based version of this, but it's not for sale yet.
