Gigabyte Z68MX-UD2H-B3 not booting from SSD

I have a Samsung 830 SSD which has my windows 7 OS on, every time i boot up my PC it tries to boot from 1 of my other hard drives (500GB seagate barracuda to be specific). This happens every single time I boot unless i change the BIOS HD priority.

Thought it could be the battery on the board, but the Time/date are still correct.

I have been having a few problems with my SSD like it hasn't been performing well (less than half speeds for everything). So I thought that it might not be recognizing it but then wouldn't that mean it wouldnt show in the BIOS.

Also BIOS has been flashed to the latest version
