More then 4 ide devices

Is there any way to have more then 4 IDE devices on one computer that is running windows 95/98?

Get a PCI IDE controller; they're not too expensive and a great solution.

like arrow said additional card will give you more more ide devices you can hook up to your computer. they arent that expensive i just got promise 100 controller because i just got the IBM 75gxp and m mobo doesnt support udma100 and that cost me $50, if you dont want the udma100 that will be even cheaper

You many even want to consider getting a RAID card, I take it that you have more than one hard drive. If so it may be worth looking into.

yea I have 2 hard drives, 1 burner, and a cd-rom. What are the address that I wouild use on a controller card? What are the address that the mobo normally uses?

ATA controller cards are setup using the same master/slave config (which is the only addressing ATA ever uses besides cable select) and the recent models have primary and secondary controllers. Set your hard disks up off the controller and leave your integrated controllers for your CD-Roms.
